This project involved photographing a rear extension and side dormer added to a detached house in the Green Belt, designed to harmonise with the existing home and its natural surroundings. The rear extension features two volumes: a vaulted, light-filled kitchen and dining space with a pigmented zinc roof, and a sunken snug, clad in black timber, both unified by a brick chimney with an internal feature stove.Carefully oriented windows maximise views of the large garden, while the new dormer echoes the triangular forms of the house, maintaining its character and charm.
