The Weston is a gallery, shop, and café at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, carefully designed to blend with the historic landscape of the 18th-century Bretton Estate. Built within a former quarry, the structure features pigmented concrete that reflects the site’s sandstone layers and a saw-tooth roof, creating a low-profile building that integrates with its surroundings while offering views across the park. Inside, the gallery showcases temporary exhibitions with innovative, sustainable climate control, while the café’s timber frame and wood-burning stove provide a warm, inviting space for visitors.
